Interior photos of the Duke of Wellington Pub

At The Duke we use fresh, seasonal produce. All our meat, poultry and eggs are free range and traditionally reared, and our fish is from sustainable sources around the British coast. Our beef and lamb is from Millers of Speyside, our pork from Kilravock farm in the Highlands, our free range chicken is from Freemans of Newent in Gloucestershire.

We serve a wide range of both soft and alcoholic drinks, here's a selection of what we offer...

REAL ALES & LAGERS

At the Duke we always have a minimum of 4 real ales on hand pull, including our house ale Sambrook’s Wandle (brewed in Wandsworth, London, since 2008). The other pumps host a variety of changing guest ales.

We also run regular two ale festivals a year, each hosting 30+ seasonal beers and real ciders from small west country farms.  Our next festival will be in AUTUMN/WINTER 2010.

CAMRA “North London Pub Of The Season” Spring 2010 – we were delighted to be awarded this accolade by CAMRA in recognition of our support for real ale, real ciders, independent breweries, the Locale scheme and our regular real ale festivals.

COFFEE & TEA

COFFEE

With our much loved La Marzocco espresso machine, we offer an extensive menu of espresso based coffees. We use coffee exclusively from East London’s Climpson & Sons because we love the fact that they are a small, independent company run by enthusiasts, based right here in Hackney.  They import and roast their own beans and have remained at the forefront of the coffee industry since their founding in 2005 by fostering the latest techniques and individually hand roasting a range of quality coffees at their London Fields  roastery, a mile from the Duke.  Do visit the Climpson & Sons website for more about the history of the company and their seasonal blends.

TEA

Not only do we do a top notch builders brew, we also stock a changing selection of loose leaf teas that we buy direct from Tim D’Offay at Mayfair’s Postcard Teas including a choice of black and green teas, oolongs, spiced and scented teas.
